Terms of Service

Last updated 6 September 2026

These terms apply to everyone who uses TyreSpot — drivers booking tyre fitting, and garages listing stock and taking bookings.

1. What TyreSpot is

TyreSpot is a marketplace. We connect drivers with independent tyre garages. We are not a garage, we do not own or hold tyre stock, and we do not fit tyres.

When you book through TyreSpot, the contract to supply and fit the tyres is between you and the garage you chose. TyreSpot's role is to run the platform, take the payment and pass it on to the garage.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or over to create a TyreSpot account. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date — a garage relies on your vehicle and tyre details to prepare for your appointment.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Security & Privacy → Delete My Account, or via our account deletion page.

3. Tyre and vehicle information

TyreSpot helps you identify a tyre size from a photograph or from what you type in. A UK registration lookup may provide vehicle details, but it does not provide a tyre size. These are aids, not guarantees, and automated results can be wrong.

You are responsible for confirming the tyre size is correct for your vehicle before you book. The garage will also check on arrival, and will tell you if what you booked does not fit.

4. Prices, availability and booking

Garages set their own prices and manage their own stock. TyreSpot does not set, suggest or cap prices, and does not guarantee that a listed tyre is in stock, that a slot is available, or that a garage will accept your booking.

The price you see at checkout is the price the garage has set for the tyres and the fitting. You pay in full when you book. Your booking is confirmed when the garage accepts it.

If a garage cannot fulfil a booking it can decline or cancel it, and you receive a full refund.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device supports it. TyreSpot never receives or stores your card number.

TyreSpot holds the money until the garage marks the fitting complete, then releases the garage's share to them. This protects you if the work is not carried out.

Everything you buy through TyreSpot is a physical product or an in-person service carried out at a garage. TyreSpot sells no digital content, digital features or subscriptions.

6. Cancellations, refunds and no-shows

Each garage sets its own cancellation policy, including how long before the appointment you can cancel free of charge. That policy is shown to you before you pay and again before you confirm a cancellation, together with the exact refund amount.

  • Cancel inside the garage's free window and you get a full refund.
  • Cancel outside it and the garage's policy determines the refund.
  • If the garage cancels, you always get a full refund and no commission is charged.
  • Refunds go back to the payment method you used, and can take a few working days to appear.

If something goes wrong with the fitting itself, raise it with the garage first through the booking's message thread. If you cannot resolve it, contact us at hello@tyre-spot.com and we will mediate.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.

7. Terms for garages

These additional terms apply if you list a garage on TyreSpot.

  • You must be a genuine business, entitled to trade, and hold whatever insurance and qualifications the law where you operate requires for tyre fitting.
  • Your garage is reviewed by TyreSpot before it goes live. We can decline, suspend or remove a listing.
  • You set your own prices, your own stock, your own opening hours, your own same-day rules and your own cancellation policy. You are responsible for keeping all of it accurate.
  • TyreSpot charges a commission of 8% of the booking value on completed bookings. You receive the remaining 92%. There is no monthly fee, no listing fee and no subscription.
  • Payouts are made to your connected Stripe account after a booking is marked complete, using the 7-day, Friday or monthly release schedule you selected.
  • You must honour confirmed bookings, carry out the work to a professional standard, and deal with customers fairly and promptly.
  • Repeatedly cancelling bookings, failing to turn up, listing stock you do not have or misrepresenting prices can result in suspension or removal.

8. Content you post

You keep ownership of the reviews, messages, photographs and garage information you upload. You give TyreSpot a licence to host and display that content in order to run the service.

You must have the right to everything you upload. Do not upload photographs, logos or brand names you are not entitled to use. Tyre manufacturer names and marks belong to their owners and are used on TyreSpot only to identify the product being sold.

Do not post anything that is:

  • false, misleading, or a review of a booking that did not happen;
  • abusive, harassing, hateful, obscene or threatening;
  • someone else's personal information;
  • spam, or an attempt to move the transaction off TyreSpot.

Report anything that breaks these rules using the report option next to the content, or by emailing hello@tyre-spot.com. We review reports and can remove content, or suspend or close an account.

9. Acceptable use

Do not misuse TyreSpot: no scraping, no attempting to break security or access another person's account, no fraudulent bookings or payments, no reverse engineering, and no use of the platform for anything unlawful.

10. Our liability

TyreSpot provides the platform. We are not liable for the quality, safety, legality or timeliness of the tyres supplied or the fitting carried out by an independent garage, and we give no warranty about a garage beyond running the review and rating system.

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking.

11. Suspension and termination

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably suspect of fraud, or where we are required to by law. You can close your account at any time. Closing an account does not cancel a confirmed booking — cancel it first.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and we will tell you about material changes in the app or by email before they take effect.

13. Privacy

How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
