Delete your account

Last updated 6 September 2026

You can delete your TyreSpot account and personal data yourself, without asking us. This page explains how, what happens, and what we are legally required to keep.

Delete from the TyreSpot app

  1. Open the TyreSpot app and sign in.
  2. Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap Security & Privacy.
  4. Under Privacy & Data, tap Delete My Account.
  5. Read what will be deleted and what will be kept, then confirm twice. The deletion runs straight away and you are signed out.

Delete from the website

  1. Sign in at tyre-spot.com.
  2. Go to Account → Security.
  3. Choose Delete my account and confirm.

If you cannot sign in

Email hello@tyre-spot.com from the address on the account with the subject “Account deletion request”. We will verify it is you and delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in credentials, and any linked Google or Apple sign-in. The account can no longer be used.
  • Your name, email address, phone number and postcode.
  • Your profile photo and any images you uploaded.
  • Your saved vehicles, registrations and tyre sizes.
  • Your tyre scans.
  • The text of your messages with garages.
  • The written text of your reviews.
  • Your support tickets and support messages.
  • Your notification preferences and any push token.
  • If you run a garage, the garage listing is suspended and removed from search.

If your account has never had a booking or a payment, everything above is deleted outright and nothing at all is kept.

What we have to keep, and for how long

RecordKept forWhy
Booking, payment and refund records, stripped of your name, email, phone and address6 years from the end of the relevant tax yearUK tax and accounting law requires a business to keep records of its transactions.
The star rating (not the text) you left for a garageIndefinitely, with no link to youRemoving it would misrepresent a garage's average rating to other drivers.
A record that a deletion happened, and a one-way hash of the email address6 yearsTo evidence that we honoured your request.

None of these retained records identify you. They cannot be used to contact you or to restore your account.

Before you delete

If you have an upcoming booking, cancel it first. A garage is holding a fitting slot for you, and the app will ask you to cancel before it lets the deletion go ahead. Cancelling follows that garage's own cancellation policy, and any refund due is shown before you confirm.

Deletion is permanent. There is no way to restore a deleted TyreSpot account, and your booking history will not be recoverable.
